The introduction to John Coltranes´ music was a turning point in my life – until that moment I hadn´t realised that music would affect my life so immensly.

- 1976/81 studies at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern
- 1983 stay in Brasil. Meets Hermeto Pascoal
- 1984 plays in Swiss Rythm&Blues Band Lazy Poker
- 1985 moves to Frankfurt, Germany
- 1987 starts teaching at the FMW
- 1988 forms Daniel Guggenheim Group
- 1990 first CD with originals a.o. with Jasper van´t Hof
- 1992 Southamericatour and recordings in Rio a.o. with Hermeto Pascoal
- 1994/95 stay in New York
- 1996 CD recordings and tour in europe “N.Y. Quartet”
